It comes as no surprise that Kitzbühel, a town steeped in skiing history and culture, is home to the most renowned and challenging ski race in the world - the Hahnenkamm. This iconic event has been held annually on the legendary Streif slope since 1931 and  is a hallmark of Kitzbühel’s skiing excellence on the world stage, as well as Kitzbuhel’s own rich alpine heritage. 

What is the Hahnenkamm?

The Hahnenkamm races, encompassing the downhill, slalom, and super-G disciplines, stand as a testament to the ski racing world's ultimate test of skill, courage, and endurance. The Streif's steep and treacherous course, with gradients reaching up to 85% and speeds of up to 140 km/h on the final “Zielschusskompression” section, demands precision and mastery from the world's best skiers.

At the Hahnenkamm, the excitement doesn’t stay on the slopes; the KITZ-RACE- Party hosts an annual red carpet event and gala dinner for the participants and an array of VIP guests and celebrities which attracts worldwide acclaim. Six Senses Kitzbühel Alps x Kitz-CHARITY-Trophy

Since 1997, well-known personalities from the world of sport and business have gathered to race and spectate in support of a local cause. Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2024, the legendary Kitz-CHARITY-Trophy will be a key event on this year’s roster, raising funds to support farmers in North, East and South Tyrol. 

Six Senses Kitzbuhel Alps has the honour of being the official partner of the Kitz-CHARITY Trophy Race, which will be taking part on the 20th of January.
